Terms and Conditions Cancellation Policy
1) Any booking will be refunded less a £20 admin charge if cancelled more than 4 weeks in advance (28 days).
2) At least two bookings are required for any event to proceed. 3) Clients will be informed at least 1 week (7 days) before commencement if any of the above is likely to be cancelled due to lack of bookings. 4) Hilly Adventures suggests you take out cancellation and personal insurance after having made a booking.
General Terms applicable to all events
1) Bookings are only confirmed when your full payment is received. 2) Whilst we ensure a high professional standard of leadership, care and safety, all our clients must be aware that participation in hillwalking activities involves an acceptance of objective risk and of responsibility for the consequences of one’s own actions. This is the essence of an adventure pursuit such as hillwalking. No specific element of an advertised service can be guaranteed with certainty in such an environment. 3) If we are forced to cancel or curtail event due to strike, riots, acts of war or terrorism, natural disaster or disease epidemic we will endeavour to provide an alternative date, but accept no liability for return of fees paid, prior to cancellation or curtailment. 4) Our events are open to anyone of appropriate experience in the age range 10 to upwards. Clients 10 to 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Clients over 70 years old are required to present a Doctor's letter confirming good health to undertake the proposed activities. 5) The Leader reserves the right to exclude any member from participation on planned mountain activities if he/she might endanger the safety of the rest of the party through lack of fitness, ill-health, or inadequate equipment. We can make no refunds of fees paid to clients so excluded.
6) Any clients on our events who act in contravention of the decisions or advice of their Leader, or else undertake independent hillwalking or mountaineering activities during the event forfeit all professional protection and duty of care from the Leader. 7) The information on our website is for guidance. We make every effort to ensure it is correct but cannot be responsible for any inaccuracies or subsequent alterations of itineraries which are beyond our control.
